Units Under the Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs
1 Student Affairs and Registration Unit
Scope of Work: The Student Affairs and Registration Unit is responsible for preparing classroom schedules and organizing add/drop processes for various college courses.
Unit Responsibilities:
- Supervising unit operations and developing operational plans.
- Preparing periodic reports on unit activities and submitting them to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs.
- Following up on student affairs related to transfers, deprivation, and withdrawal according to approved regulations.
- Supervising registration, add, and drop processes.
- Preparing classroom schedules in coordination with the Vice Deanship.
- Ensuring readiness of lecture halls and educational facilities throughout the academic year.
- Following up on student graduation procedures.
- Contributing to planning and organization to achieve smooth workflow in the unit.
Authorities:
- Preparing class schedules and final examination schedules in coordination with the Vice Deanship.
- Monitoring the electronic registration system and making necessary modifications.
2 Student Counseling Unit (Male and Female Students)
Scope of Work: The Student Counseling Unit is responsible for receiving and guiding new students, introducing them to the college and its various departments, and preparing them for university life. It also provides academic, psychological, and social counseling, contributes to developing students' personal and academic skills, and helps them identify their future goals and develop appropriate plans to achieve them.
Unit Responsibilities:
- Supervising academic counseling and following up on students' academic and behavioral issues.
- Studying cases of academic and behavioral difficulties and working to address them in coordination with relevant authorities.
- Identifying students in need of psychological, social, or financial support and helping them overcome challenges.
- Conducting studies related to academic counseling and student needs.
- Providing advice and guidance to students to improve their academic performance.
- Organizing workshops and courses to develop students' academic and personal skills.
- Preparing periodic reports on unit activities and submitting them to the Vice Dean.
3 Student Activities Unit (Male Students)
Scope of Work: Responsible for organizing extracurricular activities inside and outside the college, including trips, cultural competitions, social events, exhibitions, and blood donation campaigns.
Unit Responsibilities:
- Supervising student activities and proposing semester plans and programs.
- Preparing periodic reports on activities and submitting them to the Vice Dean.
- Coordinating with the Deanship of Student Affairs regarding programs and activities.
- Supervising student events and occasions related to college activities.
4 Dental Education Unit
Scope of Work: The Dental Education Unit works to develop the educational process at the college in line with global developments in higher education, applying the latest teaching and e-learning methods, and developing study plans according to modern scientific foundations.
Unit Responsibilities:
- Supervising the implementation of the unit's strategic plan.
- Leading initiatives to develop teaching and e-learning in the college.
- Supervising training programs in higher education for faculty members.
- Supporting the use of modern educational technologies and distance learning.
- Monitoring the application of quality standards in the education system in cooperation with the Vice Deanship for Development and Quality.
