Welcome to our page for the Department of Periodontics and Community Dentistry. 
The Department of Periodontics and Community Dentistry serves to achieve the mission of King Saud University by
establishing and maintaining rigorous academic curricula both in the field of periodontics and dental public health.
Under the umbrella of this departments lies several courses and programs at all levels of dental education;
from the bachelor program, to the postgraduate programs like Masters, Doctoral degrees, fellowships,
and the Saudi Board.
We strive to teach the state-of-the-art cognitive knowledge and clinical and behavioral skills that equip our students to be competent dental professionals. We have designed our courses and programs with a student-centered approach to achieve an exceptional learning experience that make our students life-long learners.
The department courses also focus on the classical and contemporary approaches and techniques in learning the biological bases of periodontal and peri-implant health and diseases, diagnostic techniques, and evidence-based methods in treating these diseases. Other courses and programs in dental public health target how the students diagnose dental public health needs, design health awareness programs, and implement effective and efficient preventive programs.
Our faculty contribute to the scientific literature by continuous scientific research in the felids of periodontics and dental public health. They focus on the emerging fields of research and use the advance research facilities in the college to conduct sound research and solve these critical health problems both scientifically and creatively.
Finally, we always work in harmony with all departments and units at KSU in a persistent pursuit to achieve the mission and vision of our college, and our university, and our leaders of Saudi Arabia.
